    To do so would be to accept the depersonalisation of the adoption experience. People who have not been adopted can never truly understand what it feels like. My hope is that our society begins to appreciate how difficult it is to be adopted. And, I realise many people will never be able to understand how much it can affect families. It is not the answer it was thought to be.

     

    I was born in Crown Street Womens Hospital. Adoption has affected me hugely throughout my life. It's a difficult journey. To travel through it takes immense courage.
