Cabbage Patch Kids

I am about 3 in the original photo. In the collage I have combined this image with photocopied images , I am centre figure St anthonys buidling covering my face keeping me from the knowledge of my origins, the steps are steps my mother would have walked up when she arrived there and upstairs the Windows the young mothers would sit together in silence and watch as some married couple came to collect the girls babies. I am holding a document about the impact of secrecy on adoptees and mothers.
The background is a cabbage patch Left side I'm am standing as if sprouting from the patch. Signifying the fantasy attached to the origin of babies for adoption.
Corner right is the shadow cast as I took the photo in the cabbage field ( I used to live on acreage that a market gardener cultivated the land along the river.
The shadow figure my adult self looks downcast and in grief.
